Pinwheels Family Fun Day is coming!!!

Pinwheels family fun day

Roller skating, go-karts, mini golf, a fun gym your kids will love and much, much more!

For over 26 years, the Exchange Family Center (EFC) has been working to strengthen relationships between parents and their children when life brings about difficult or uncertain moments. EFC’s Pinwheels Family Fun Day is one exciting way we like to bring our families closer together. A day full of games, prizes, limbo contests and a mini golf tournament you will not want to miss, Pinwheels Family Fun Day provides a chance to let your inner-child run free and make memories!

“When families spend time together, the interaction increases children’s social-emotional growth and strengthens family bonds,” says Rachel Galanter, Exchange Family Center Executive Director. “Pinwheels lets families come and play together to help build those strong bonds that support children’s ability to be resilient while also sharing information with the community about how we all can help children thrive now and as they grow.”

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention month in April, Pinwheels Family Fun Day is part of a larger initiative to help spread awareness of the need to ensure the safety and welfare of our children. All across the country, communities have the opportunity to support causes that keep children safe, provide the support families need to stay together and raise children to be happy, secure and stable adults. In 1989, a Virginian grandmother tied a blue ribbon around the antenna of her car to alert the community of the tragic abuse of her grandson which led to his death – launching the original Blue Ribbon campaign. Today, the national symbol for Child Abuse Prevention - pinwheels – reminds us of the great childhoods we want for all our children. The Exchange Family Center’s family fun day is the perfect way to support an important cause and have a great time while doing it!

“Our staff attended last year and played in the mini golf tournament; they had a blast! We’re hoping to get a team together again this year.”
