Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an evidence-based therapeutic technique designed to help people identify and act on their readiness, willingness and ability to make meaningful change in their lives. This training will further develop MI skills; participants need to have previous Motivational Interviewing training. Exercises and personalized feedback will help professionals to refine their ability to use MI to support individuals and families. . Focus will be on four processes; complex reflections, evoking change talk, amplifying change talk, and genuineness. This skill building training will strengthen the ability of professionals to utilize Motivational Interviewing as a communication style in the face of sustain talk in both client sessions and group settings.
